Located right on Lake Taupō, The Retreat has its own private lake access and is located right across from the Taupo Marina, providing guests with a wonderful vista of boats heading out for a day on the lake.

We are a 3- to 4-minute drive to Taupō township, which has plenty of premium cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries, and supermarkets to visit. We are 5 minutes from Acacia Bay, and within the local area, you will have access to world-class golf courses, some of the best mountain bike trails in the world, and stunning fishing spots. Slightly further afield, you’ll be able to visit the Tongariro National Park, and if you are visiting during the winter season, the Whakapapa ski resort.

Whether you’re here to relax, spend time in nature, go on an adventure, or have a one-of-a-kind getaway, the scenes at Lake Taupō provide the perfect backdrop for a chalet stay you won’t forget.
